Monticello

After a great breakfast at Cracker Barrel, Theresa, Lindsay and I headed out for the Monticello visit. It was great and it was beautiful. Will be posting some pics tonite of the grounds. I was disappointed that they don't allow pics inside the house during the tour. Oh, well.

After breakfast and before we left they drove us by a plantation called Belle Grove, which is pretty much in their back yard. I was sorry I didn't have enough time to do it, too. We'll have to do it next time we come for a visit which we plan to do -- it just isn't going to include an RV journey to get here.

Howard's dad fortunately didn't have to have surgery today, so when us girls got back home they had deer meat chili waiting for us. They had friends over and the guys shot pool. They had a granddaughter there visiting that was Lindsay's age, and then one of the guys from work had an 8 year old, so Lindsay had fun playing with them while we all sat around and played pool, drank beer, and BS'd.

Tomorrow it's turn in the POS RV in Mannassas, and then on to Baltimore to stay in a motel for the nite, and then it's back to Texas on Sunday morning. It's been great, but I'm ready to be back in Texas in my own bed.
