Home, Sweet Home

We all made it home alive thankfully. I couldn't believe the state of our yard -- very dry and dead. It must be June in Texas, right? At least the garden and patio plants were alive thanks to Bode tending to them while we were gone.

I told myself that the unpacking could wait, as could the washing, but that didn't last long. Started on it but didn't finish it. In fact, the house looks like a tornado came through it, but I'll worry about that tomorrow.

Was very glad to be back at work and have some time to myself even if it meant having to sit through voir dire, which I detest. Ten days of "togetherness" in close quarters was certainly an adventure. Went to see Judge HSW during my lunch hour and he looks great. You can tell he's feeling so much better also. I miss him so much it hurts.

Picked up PJ this afternoon during the correct business hours and the "lady that made me cry" was very nice. She had only good things to say about PJ and his stay with them. I'm really sorry that I pissed her off in the first place by not understanding their hours. I hope that I can use them again in the future, with the understanding, of course, that I won't drop off after hours!!! PJ and I then went and picked up Lindsay and they were very happy to see each other.

Instead of cleaning and getting the house in order, I've been readjusting to life at home. (ie, relaxing w/ a ML or 2) Maybe tomorrow I'll worry about the mess and the clutter that everyone but me in this house can ignore.
