When I posted my last blog about appreciating my sisters I was feeling a little guilty that I have cheated my daughter out of having that same support whenever she has to take care of us in later (much later I hope) years. So to all of her cousins out there, you've got to promise that you'll be there to help her when she needs you.
I'm also in trouble for posting that picture from years ago. Maybe this poem will make up for it.
"Sister"
She is your mirror, shining back at you
with a world of possibilities.
She is your partner in crime;
your midnight companion.
She is someone who knows when
you are smiling, even in the dark.
She is your teacher, your defense attorney,
your personal press agent, even your shrink.
She is your witness who sees you at your worst,
and best, and loves you anyway.
She is your sister.
--------
Love to you all.

I loved the poem and love you too little sister! Brenda
And I, for one, loved the picture. I wasn't kidding when I said that in my mind I will always see you all -- really all of us -- pretty much as we were then. I used to love coming out to the creek at Thanksgiving and being so jealous of all the family chaos.
