As usual we slept through the New Year festivities.
My only resolution for 2009 is to try to eat more healthily. Number 1 on my "trying to eat more healthy" list is to not eat potatoes at every meal, which is what I've been doing for a while now. I love potatoes no matter how they're cooked. Number 2 on my "TTEMH" list is to add more fruits and vegetables to my diet. Number 3 on the list is to not drink so many .................................. sodas. (You've gotta be crazy to think I'm giving up my Miller Lite!)
I also intend to try to add a little exercise into my weekly routine, but I don't really have a game plan for that happening yet. I'll be sure to put that at the top of my "to do" list. ;<)
Happy 2009 Everyone!

OK, as one potato freak to another, buzz over to Central Market there in Austin and pick up some of their vegetable chips. Up here they put them in zip lock bags by the express line. They have sweet potato chips in them as well as jicama, zucchini, carrots, and such. They have kept me off potatoes and potato chips for a year.
I have tried those and they're extremely good. I'm thinking you have way more willpower than myself if you haven't had potatoes in a year!
I finally ate some when I went to dinner with Molly in Georgetown and it was pretty anti-climactic. I was sort of like, "Yeah, spuds, whatever."
