As you can see from the title of this post we had a busy weekend!
Lindsay's Brownie troop was walking in the annual Budafest parade and I figured we'd freeze our butts off, but it turned out to be a parade-perfect day!
As soon as the parade was over and we could get back to our car, Murr, Lindsay and I booked it to Georgetown to watch the JHS football boys play Mart in the semi-finals playoff. Plans had been in the making all week for a group of friends to meet up at the game in our letterjackets. My letterjacket seems to have shrunk somewhat over the last 20 years, and I didn't get to wear it long at the game since we were enjoying a Texas December and it was at least 80 degrees with the sun beating down on our side of the field. Unfortunately our Little Town team lost, but I had the time of my life watching the game and catching up with old friends. R.K. and I hadn't seen each other in years but it didn't take long for us to catch up! I'm looking forward to seeing her again over Christmas -- we've got a lot of years to catch up on.
Since we had to leave Budafest after the parade on Saturday and Lindsay didn't get a chance to ride any of the carnival rides, I took her back to Budafest on Sunday morning. Even though those carny people looked like they had had a rough Saturday night, we paid them $25 to scare us on their rides.
After a quick trip to the grocery store, we headed to a b-day party for Tommy G., who is turning 6 in a day or two.
It was a busy weekend but it was so much fun. Since I spent so much time playing I only have a few chores to catch up on -- which will probably take up most of this coming week.

Too bad we couldn't have had an adult beverage or two while hooping and hollering in the stands! C-ya in a couple of weeks and we'll make up for it then!
I'm looking forward to that!
Must confess. Molly and I went out for adult beverages post game.
