May 1st I turned 41 years old. Took Lindsay to school and I went to work. Guys at the office ordered lunch in and I had a good day. Lindsay had a t-ball game that night. That in a nutshell was how I spent my birthday.
Mother's day also came and went. Saturday Lindsay went to dance class and I went to the grocery store. My niece, Kara, graduated from SWT -- sorry, that's TSU -- but I didn't make the ceremony since I took Lindsay to dance class. Lindsay has a recital at the end of the month and she's missed a lot of classes because of t-ball so I felt she needed to be at class. Sunday I spent the day being a mother -- washing clothes and cleaning house.
This past weekend, Saturday, we had a party for my niece at my sister's house. Lindsay swam in the pool a lot. Sunday Lindsay had a pool party for the end of the t-ball season and swam some more. Tuesday I went to Lindsay's school and participated in career day w/ the Kinder classes. I had been obsessing over it for many weeks now and it went pretty well. However, at the end of it Lindsay came home w/ me because she didn't feel well. We both slept for 2 hours once we got home, which to me indicated she really didn't feel well because she never naps! Wednesday she woke up feeling worse, so Murr stayed home with her. He took her to the doctor (a first for him to do so by himself) and she has an ear & eye infection. Great. We're on drops and antibiodics. She can't go back to school until at least Friday. He'll stay home with her again tomorrow and then hopefully she can go back to school.
We only have a couple of weeks left until our big RV family road trip and I'm getting VERY nervous. I can't believe I ever thought this was a good idea. I know it will be -- or should be -- fun, and once we get on the road it probably will be, but I'm stressing out a bit over it all. Oh, well, what am I not stressing out over these days?
